Kyudokan Higa te school.

In 1961 the first Okinawa Shorinryu Karate-do Association was established, chaired by Sensei Choshin Chibana, one of the most important Masters in Okinawa history.

The Vice-president of this association was Yochuku Higa, the main student of Sensei Chibana and founder of the Shorinryu Kyudokan School.

After the death of Sensei Yuchoku Higa,  Minoru Higa assumed the position of President of the “World Okinawan Shorin-ryu Kyudokan Karate-do Federation,” which he still holds.

On the other hand, Sensei Oscar Masato Higa, not living in Okinawa, has being kept on spreading the style around the world by deepening and nurturing its principles.

In October 2014, at a world congress held in France, the Shorinryu Kyudokan “Higa te” School was made official. Sensei then becomes The Head of the school for more than 30 branches located around every continent.
